BC 245 XLT keylock stuck

the Keylock button was accidentally hit, and it will not "turn off". The keylock icon is flashing. Nothing happens now when that key is pressed or held. No change when scanner is turned off and on. No other problems with this 245 for years. Am I stuck with just the current settings forever?

EDIT: I just read rckydenver's info in the post below this one, and that sounds very promising.
(Prior to reading that post, I wrote the following):

I just tried mine, and after holding the DLY/key button, the icon comes on, but does not flash. It remains steady. I can then turn it off by holding the DLY/key button.

Hmmm.. maybe if you pull the battery out and put it back in, something will reset -- ???

If you are desperate, I believe you can reset the scanner (and lose the memory settings!!) by the following:

1. Turn off the scanner
2. Hold down the following keys simultaneously: MAN, 2, 9
3. While holding down those three keys, turn on the scanner.

Again, BEWARE -- this will lose your memory settings, I think

Not sure if this is the cause but i found this.

What's the deal with an unresponsive keypad and flashing key icon?
This means the radio is in REMOTE mode and is waiting for input from the computer port and not the key pad. To get it out of this mode, press and hold the E key (which doubles as the REMOTE access key) until the radio beeps twice.
