BC245XLT reset???

I just picked up a used BC245XLT. It seems to work OK, but with one problem. The keyboard is locked. It has the little key "icon" in the right lower corner that is flashing. Seems that the "Dly/lock key" button does not unlock the keyboard. Any suggestions on how to reset or fix this problem??? I downloaded the owners manual from uniden. It says to hold the button down till the key icon goes off. But it stays on!!!! HELP!!!!

Have you tried pulling the battery?

Every one I've ever seen relates to the lock key.
Hold it down for several seconds,
Also, on the forums search of this site put in 245 and locked, you'll get a boatload of hits.

I was going to tell you what to press for the reset, but you did that already. Is the battery charged up all the way? How long did you hold the key lock button? I think I had that happen years ago when I owned a 245.

I figured it out!!! Had something to do with just pushing the enter key, that stopped the blinking. Then I just push and held the lock key and the lock went off. Thanks for all the tips. Picked it up in a yard sale this morning for $15.00!!!! The batteries seem good and it had the 110 volt adapter, but no owners manual. Download the owners manual and seems to work great for the money!!! I have the 996 Uniden, the 245 will be handy for listening to the CHP here in San Diego county.
