Hi i've spent hours with this scanner trying to enter TG ID manually for a type 2 smartnet system
and It keeps saying error . I have also tried with e scanner and still the same. Any help out
there?? Thanks

What system are you trying to enter?

Is the system within range so that you can receive it ? I ask because I tried to program mine for a vacation destination, can't do it on these without acquiring a signal. (there are tricks I can describe if this is the case for you).
Also, are you sure you were in trunk mode when you entered the frequencies? Gotta be.

Hi the system I am trying to enter is a mototola type 2 analog. I have intered all the freq.
and get all the regional talk groups fire city works etc but would like to listen to fire only.
I got all the freq from this site and TG dec will not go into the scanner it always says error

Which one - in what state?? It's an important question. It sounds like you might have the wrong trunk type set up. Either that, or you're not in trunking mode - you must be trunking to enter talkgroups. While in ID Search mode - you'll see all sorts of talkgroups on the screen- press (it's either manual or hold). The screen will blank out and you can then enter talkgroups. 73s Mike
