Is it possible my BC246 (latest firmware) is having a problem. I have a system loaded and one of groups programed is not scanning/broadcasting 100% of the time.

I know because I can also monitor the same group online.

It is not locked out and is programed correctly... if I hit hold and dial it up I can monitor it just fine, but while scanning it alone nothing will broadcast.

I have removed it and reprogrammed it and no fix seems to be working.

Has anyone had this problem before? Is it a known issue?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Is this a trunked system? Or a conventional system?

Make sure that the system & group quick keys are both unlocked and the keys are not showing in the scanner as disabled. If you loaded with software, check the settings in your config file. You can also do a 'read from the scanner'. That should tell you if the scanner shows the keys as locked or disabled. This would also give you an indication if it loaded the scanner correctly. If nothing jumps out at you there, you might post the file here & let someone look at it.

Re

Sorry about that... trunked

This was not a problem until a few days ago... everything worked fine.

I also noticed in Nashville (recent trip) thta none of the downloaded freq from here using the ARC software were working.

Which system?

If you have 'status bit' on, and are in "ID Scan" mode, you may not be matching up exactly. Try it in ID Search & see what you get, &/or set status bit to "ignore" if using the Uniden UASD software. In Butels's ARC software, I believe the option is listed as status bit "on" to ignore.

Thanks Problem Solved

The groups were locked from inside the ARC! I unlocked them and resent the data... problem solved.

Thanks again!
