Is the Delaware/Dublin/Worthington system able to scan from a BC250D with digital card?
I can scan the freq. in conventional mode, and get audio, but cannot trunk it.

I'm leaning toward a limitation of the scanner (Baud rate Of Control Channel)

Maybe it's time to go to Universal and grab a GRE PSR500?

Sorry, After forgetting about my scanner for a long time, I got the bug to start scanning again. ;)

Thanks!

I'm not at all familiar with Uniden's scanners, but I found this which will completely answer your question:

"Please note that this scanner will not track a P25 trunking system. While it can decode P25 digital voice (with the optional BCi25 card installed) it cannot follow a P25 (9600 bps) control channel. "

Check out this link for more info on your scanner: BC250D - The RadioReference Wiki

Basically you can receive the voice, but your scanner won't track the control channel because like you said, the baud rate isn't supported.

OK. Sweet!, I mean Oh Darn! Gotta get another scanner. :)
I've had my eye on the PSR 500 anyway, and have a friend who may be able to use the 250d.

Thanks!

I use a PSR-500 on the Delaware/Worthington/Dublin system and it performs amazingly.

Well, I picked one up!
This is a nice little scanner.

Took a few times programming to get the hang of it.
I'm currently throwing things into it manually, not too bad.
I'm a mac guy, and have no windows, so i'm doing it manually.

May try a couple programs on my work computer.

This is scanning the Dublin system, and MARCS great!

If you're running an Intel Mac, look into either VMWare Fusion (my preference) or Parallels. Lets you install Windows and run it in a window on your Mac. Works just fine; I use my Macbook to program radios all the time this way. I'd of course prefer native Mac software, but this will do until the rest of the world leaves the dark side and comes to Mac.

Amusingly enough, Windows XP loads faster, runs better and more reliably under VMWare Fusion than it does natively on a PC.

You might also try running Win500 with Darwine. I've tinkered with it but there are still some settings that need to be worked out.

I get a nice discount on MS products through work, so bought Win 7 and VMWare Fusion.
I needed windows for some GPS stuff too, so bit the bullet.

I also got a sub to this site. The importing on the three major programs is sweet.
Programming MARCS was a breeze! I'm liking this object oriented way of programming.

I purchaced a Butel ARC500 license tonight. I personally liked it best, probably since I used their product for my 250D back in the day.

A lot around Columbus has changed over they years, looking forward to seeing whats out there.

I've already begun dusting off the HAM equipment also. :)
