Hello
Can someone point me where can i get the 3.25 Software files for the 296D
I want to Upgrade my Scanned from (currently) 3.25 to the 3.29 But waht to have a backup in case something will go Wrong

2) what is the changes from the 3.25 to the 3.29 ?
Is that include the trunking 800 MHZ Band Changing that supposed to take place because of the interference to the Emergency service from the commercial services ???

Ronen, you're mixing apples and oranges here. What you are looking for is a firmware
fix not software. Think of firmware as the brains of the scanner. The last fix I had heard about for the 296 involved the 'card not found' error, I believe. You would need to go to the Uniden website, and to the downloads area. Register (free) there, and you should be able to get what you need.

The firmware changes to compensate for the 800 mhz rebanding hasn't been released yet. No one knows exactly when that will happen.
