Hello all scanner buffs.

I monitor CSP Troop C & D.
I have all primary and alternate frequencies entered.
I have Set Control channel (off).
I use a RS 800 MHz.

As I had posted in the past it seems as though when I travel to Manchester area I tend to pick up Troop D better and more often, and when I head East to Danielson I tend to pick up Troop C. Any ideas as to why that is? I use the ARC software to install frequencies. I have tried stock, mobile and RS antennas and all appear to be the same. Suggestive help would be great.

Thanks

It sounds as if you are picking up 2 separate prime sites. When you are toward Manchester, you get 868.9125 better and when out toward Danielson, get 867.2000 better.
I don't monitor either of them enough to know what talkgroups are allowed on each site. If you have any talkgroups locked out of either system programmed in, that could change what you hear as well.

if i'm reading your post correctly, you have both Troop D & C in the same system.
if thats the case, the scanner will lock onto whatever signal is comes across first.

i would recommend programming these as 2 separate systems, and you'll always get both places.

Thanks will give it a try. I will put lets say Troop C in BANK 1 with primary control channel and Troop D in BANK 2 with primary control channel. Will let you know how it works.
