My 396XT will work great for several days.. Then it will continue to scan BUT will find no stations. I then have to turn it off for a short period and then back on again. Works fine then but I have to go back with the lock out to block the undesirable.. The only time it is turned off is when this occurs. Used only on the Palmetto 25 system. Any ideas? Thanks

Mine would occasionally go "deaf" for a short period. I would cycle it on and off , and then it would be fine. Hasn't done it in a while. But it is strange.

Ive noticed with mine on a P25 system that mine would go deaf if i wasnt getting a strong enough decode rate. usually i just move to a better area for stronger reception and will do just fine.

What signal strength are you receiving? I've noticed this happen, but only when the signal strength is 1 bar or lower.

I notice mine occasionally had the problem when I had a P25 system active and no other types. I have storm spotters frequencies or other analog frequencies active now. I haven't experienced the problem since.
