BCD396T control channel trouble

I am trying to program a p25 system and am getting a full signal then the signal goes away. I referred to the manual and its says select a control channel. Well there is no option to select a control channel. Can somebody please help me out.

What it is asking you is to select the control channel for the system you are monitoring.
One of two thing are happening here:
1) you are seeing a 'voice channel' for a trunk system. That is why it disappears when the transmission is over.
or
2) you are seeing a conventional channel using P25.
If you are trying to monitor the MARCS system, only enter the following freqs in the system you create:
867.90000a 868.27500c
These are the control freqs for the tower in Mahoning.
Always clue us in about your location and what you are trying to monitor. This helps alot when you ask us for help.

I am trying to receive the Western Wayne County Mutual Aid p25 system in Michigan. I am not receiving voice at all. Im getting a full signal, signal goes awaya second later . Then it will say finding control channel.

If you are trying to program MARCS, it is not a P25 system.

I think that should be programmed as a Motorola 800mhz Type II Standard system.
