BCD396T ROM Update Memory Loss?

If I upgrade to the latest ROM update on my BCD396T, will I lose my memory (programmed channels/freqs/TGIDs)?

Nope. But make sure you back up your scanner on occasion regardless.

You shouldn't, but you should always do a backup before doing a firmware update as you never know what can happen. You could have a power outage accidently unplug the power, or a voltage spike or there could be data corruption during the update, any of which could cause issues and wipe out your programmed memory.

Always assume the worst will happen and have a backup!
