BCD396XT 6.25khz

I am at a loss to explain why my 396XT will not accept 769.153125 and converts it to 0769.1550.

I have verified my BAND DEFAULTS are 6.25Khz NFM for 758.0, & 788.0
I'm sure there is a trick I must be overlooking..
396XT firmware is 1.08.14
Software I use is FreeScan .90 and ARC XT PRO (both are most current versions, both send 6.25khz freq and get back a converted incorrect step frequency)

396XT 6.25khz 700MHZ system

In Custom Search the unit steps correctly in steps of..6.25khz
search steps as follows
769.00620
769.01250 0.00630
769.01870 0.00620
769.02500 0.00630
769.03120 0.00620
769.03750 0.00630
769.04370 0.00620
average difference appears to be 6.25khz Wish the 396xt would display the full 6 digits to the right of the decimal...
Still my conventional system does not accept 6.25khz frequencies... UPman any ideas?

769.153125 is a 3.125 kHz step, not 6.25 kHz.

Got it on the channel accuracy 3.125khz vs 6.25khz accuracy and 6.25khz steps...

Still have the issue of programming a p25 conventional frequency rounds off to 5khz not 6.25khz when keyed in even when band plan is set to 6.25 steps... the 6.25khz steps work in search mode.. so I'm quick saving the 6.25khz channels to get the radio to accept them...
