BCD396XT streaming with Linux and Alpha Tags

Currently, I'm streaming a Pro164 from Linux using darkice/icecast.

Since most of Durham's chatter occurs in analog, I was thinking of swapping put my 396XT to the steaming server so that I can broadcast alpha tags. Is there a supported method of doing this in Linux?
