BCD436HP Priority

I have priority set on my local FD dispatch on my BCD436HP, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Am I missing another step? Thanks

Is this for a Conventional channel, or a talkgroup on a trunked system?

If for a Conventional channel, make sure the channel is tagged as Priority and that the scanner has the Priority mode enabled. You should see PRI down in the corner of the display.

If this is for a trunked system, you must enable Priority ID Scan (under the Options tab for the system) as well as tag the desired talkgroup as Priority.

I have a BCD436HP so I guess that is the case for me why it appears to not work. Thanks

There are two priority modes. Pri DND which olny hits the selected channel is the squelch isnt open. Then normal Priority which will check at selected intervals. It will show up "Priority Mode DND" or "Priority Mode On" when turning it on.

Absolutely correct for conventional channels.
