BCD536HP CUTS IN AND OUT, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO HEAR WHAT IS GOING ON. I ALSO HAVE A BCD325P2 THAT IS ALSO DIFFICULT TO HEAR AT TIMES. SHOULD I BE USING A DIFFERENT SCANNER? MAYBE I NEED THE SDS100 or 200?? THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE.

Chances are you have PRIORITY set.

Check that first.

If the sound cuts out at regular intervals - that's it.

Which system are you trying to monitor? The dropping out may be due to simulcast distortion.

Or you are located painfully near to a cell site. Try the attenuator and IFX.

Welcome to the RR forums. As suggested in post #3 please post the RR database link(s) to the frequencies or system(s) in question so we can get eyes on the database to make a determination whether it is indeed simulcast distortion, encryption, priority enabled as suggested by Doc or other possibilities. The fact it is happening on two scanners would lead me to assume simulcast distortion but you'll need to provide some info on what you're monitoring so we can know for sure
