I would like to enter a frequency to listen to temporarily, without having to store it.
How do I do that?
I cnannot find it in the manual or the "easier to read manual"

TIA

When scanning.... press hold, enter frequency on keypad, press hold again.

When scanning a conventional system (not a trunked system), first press the Hold key
Then, enter your frequency, including the decimal point
Next, hit the Hold key again (not the E/Enter key)
Once you've done that, it will monitor the frequency that you entered. You can also use the scroll knob to change the frequency up or down.

(If you hit Hold while in a trunked system, then the scanner would think that you are manually entered a talkgroup ID, not a frequency).

on my 396T, 396XT and 325P2 it works when scanning any system.
the difference is with a decimal it listens to a frequency.
on a trunked system if you are on it and type a number without the decimal it will hold on a talkgroup.
so with it, it will listen to the frequency.
