BCD325P2/BCD996P2: BCD996P2 TGID SITE ASSOCIATION.

I apologize if I’m posting this question in the wrong forum I am wanting to find out the top group ID 215 which is the national weather service in Huntsville on the AIRS system, which site that TGID belongs to? In other words, I believe it belongs to one of the EMA sites. The reason I’m saying this is because I forgot to put those sites in the scanner and I have not heard any activity from that top group I could be out of range but don’t think so thoughts would be appreciated thank you

What do you mean by "Top Group"?

Make sure you have the control channels entered.

If you don't receive the control channels, you won't receive Trunk Groups on the system.

Well, I’ve always seen it call the top group or I’d an group in the radio reference database under the state wide Id a groups

The correct term is talkgroup or talk group. Not top group, and even trunk group is scarcely used.

I think he means Talk Group.
I would think it has something to do with severe weather watches in the state. Paid or volunteer weather watchers looking for tornadoes ect.
The Huntsville site is simulcast so I'm not sure the 996P2 can properly receive it.
