BCD996T Question

Does this scanner detect a trucking System ID. I have a freind that had a RS scanner (do not remember the model) that displayed the system ID. What bennefit is this feature to a scanner. I have never seen this feature on my uniden 780 before as I have on that particular RS scanner.

Don't know if the 996 supports this (should have mine today) but the 396 will if you hit hold while it is monitoring the control channel. It shows ststem ID and sub-system.

If you are searching and find a control channel, it is a good way to determine which system you are hearing (use the database on this site).
