It appears Boulder County Paramedics (BCP) does not exist anymore in Lafayette. Lafayette Fire now runs 2621 and 2622 as the EMS provider for the city. I just figured this out today even though I've been hearing 2621 being dispatched many times since the new year.

Then LFD must be using the BCP ambulances because I saw two working an extrication accident in front of Good Sam yesterday afternoon.

LFD, LPD and BCP

I figured they would've stole their old ambulances but I don't travel through Lafayette very often to have seen.

Theres also an article I read a couple weeks ago stating Mountain Views Rescue 4 out of Niwot will become the primary ambulance provider for a majority of Boulder Rurals district in the short future. Pridemark will only respond to a section of BRFD district when that happens, I'm assuming the parts that border the city of Boulder.

Found the Article
"LONGMONT TIMES-CALL"
Boulder Rural has agreed to staff a firefighter/EMT position at Mountain View’s Niwot station, freeing up a shift for Mountain View. In return, Mountain View will provide ambulance service in nearly all of Boulder Rural’s 25-square-mile district.

The deal, which will take effect in April, allows Boulder Rural to provide ambulance service, through Mountain View, for the first time in 50 years, Boulder Rural Chief Bruce Mygatt said.

Pridemark Ambulance, a private company, currently provides service for Boulder Rural. It will remain as the primary provider for about three square miles of the district and a backup provider for the rest of the district, Mygatt said.

I know that a couple years ago when Pridemarks contract was running out with Boulder County, it was between them, BCP, and AMR. Pridemark won, and I was under the impression that BCP was taken out because of that. I must not be monitoring very closely, but I have heard only one or two BCP calls since then. I personnally would want Pridemark coming to me as opposed to BCP or AMR

Don't believe AMR has any 911 contracts in Boulder County? or many in the metro area any longer except for Golden for that matter.

I might be wrong, but i think that's why they were fighting Pridemark/BCP for the contract. I was only 12 or 13 and spoke briefly to a Pridemark Paramedic that I knew at the time about it, so I could be way wrong!!!

Thats correct all the privates bid on the open contracts but AMR has not been awarded any recent 911 contracts in the Denver area that I'm aware of at least. There out of Grand Junction and remain only in Pueblo, El Paso County and Golden for 911's at least. But still lots of Kaiser transport business in the metro area.

AMR will run emergent calls in the City of Boulder when Pridemark runs out of ambulances, though that is still not a 911 contract, least they get some action every so often. It's just weird that AMR's national headquarters is in Greenwood Village, but there is so little business they do in the area, except with their Kaiser non-emergent transports.
