bct8 newbie

im kind of new at the scanner thing, i have a uniden bct8 and am having trouble with the programming. i want to enter a frequency of 154.8525 but every time i do it automatically changes it to 154.8550. any help would be great. thanks

I don't think the bct-8 will except the frequency your entering. However, that frequency your seeing
154.855 should be close enough to receive a transmission.

i cant hear anything when its on that frequency. its always silent. if it wont support that frequency what is a decent cheap scanner that will go to those frequencies. and on a side note, why dont some scanners go to those frequencies
