Bearcat Xlt 3000 - Any Good

Hi all is the XLT 3000 and good, I noticed it does not have the 8.33 mhz step frequency, my main target is aircraft.
I'm totally new to scanners and I dont really want to buy somthing that turns out tobe out of date or useless.

P.S I'm in the UK

That's a very old scanner, not made in many years. There's a review on the Strong Signals website...
