Bellville VFD used another grant to partially pay for new radios, and will be jumping on the Borg ship, errr, South Texas P25 700/800 system. They still are having to shell out about $300 per radio that the grant didn't cover, and are having fundraisers to get the cash. Look for some new talkgroups soon, if they aren't already active.

I travel to Bellville occasionally, the family doctor is there, and although I heard analog conventional recently I also heard them on the TxWARN P25 system. Although to be accurate maybe I was just hearing the EMS folks. Did they switch earlier? Not getting there but a few times a year puts a crimp in my listening to them "up close" but I do monitor Austin county on the P25 TxWARN system off the Clodine site a bit.

Aren't all of the other VFDs in Austin County still using VHF primary? I hope they don't plan on disposing of their old equipment any time soon.

I know this thread is old, but did Bellville FD go on TX warn? Or are they still using their analog repeaters? P25?

How are they paged?

As of 2013 they were still on VHF analog. 159.045 pl 107.2. You might have to run a scanner in search mode and look for a talkgroup linked to that frequency if they're not using one of the county VFD channels.
