Well I was going to go with CE but I found it for $225.12 from National Electronics. I still was hoping to find a used one but it seems like nobody wants to give theirs up. I'm willing to bet they will pop up all over the place AFTER I place my order this week :)

I've purchased a number of items from Communications Electronics over the years, including a BCD996T a couple weeks ago. I have been very pleased with the service. Other than being a satisfied customer, I have no association with them.

Did that include shipping? CE includes shipping this time.

There's a lot of BCT15's on eBay right now. I plan on getting one after Christmas...

Why bother with ebay when you can get one cheaper buying it through a dealer?

Yeah, i did notice that now - although there is one that would be $228 including shipping. But a dealer like CE offers an "evaluation" period.

I saw a 780 that sold for around $220 a few weeks ago. Isn't that high for a discontinued model?

Not at all considering how good of a radio the 780 is.

BC780-XLT's have been going between $175.00-$250.00 in recent months. Keep in mind once re-banding takes place, a 780 may have issues. The BCT15 is current technology that will cope with re-banding, and has numerous features, and advantages over the 780.
