Hi

Unfortunately over in Australia (Specifically Queensland myself) we don't have a lot of noted systems.

I've been keeping a scratch pad of systems over the last year or so, but its time to get serious and get some proper data so I can update the database for others.

I would like to know the best method (and a how to!) to track systems.. At the moment I'm using a single SDR usb, through SDRSharp and piping the audio into DSDPLUS.

This works fine, but often requires me to flick around channels and systems before I can ID what belongs where.

Finding DMR systems with Trunking and other radio networks is rather difficult this way.

Any suggestions and/or assistance would be greatly appreciated

Which I've just received. Learning curve and a half. I think I had it, with DMR data coming through to DSDPlus but then lost it. I will work something out.

I am awaiting my second SDR to arrive, is there anything I can do single channel at the moment?

To map out DMR trunking systems, I use Excel. You can create something like this:

Everytime you find a new DMR trunking frequency, add a new row. As you log all the freqs for your area, you can sort / filter and start looking for patterns. Then use colors to identify which freqs go together on the same system.

Put other modes / conventional stuff in other Excel tabs.

I've got a base of an excel sheet going but need to delve into it a little more. Thanks for the recommendations

I am absolutely loving DSD fast lane - worth it's weight in gold, so much more functionality than the free public version.
Waiting for my 2nd sdr to arrive shortly from China and will learn a lot more no doubt
