Yes, they are useful. I think there is another brand that makes the same and I think I have both as I use two of the reasonably rigid/flexible arm seat bolt mounts. One is for 400XDR and 480SAT control heads and holds them both well simultaneously off road. The other is for a handheld scanner. I like that the arms hold the devices up higher, versus the lower cup mount. Plus, I need the room for water and coffee.

I also have the CD mount and that works quite well. My disc player holds the same six discs for the last 10 years, so it is not in the way.

I like the Lido mounts, kinda like tinker toys, bolt together whatever you need. Sometimes that leaves you with a bulky mount. Getting creative with epoxy and a hacksaw can eliminate some of that middle hardware.

I have 2 of the cupholder mounts, one for my SDS100 and one for my AnyTone 878 and they work very well. For added security I wrap each with a strong elastic hair tie for those unexpected bumps in the road :)

We've used them at my workplace to mount backup cameras in commercial trucks. Very well made imo.

I've used them for work as well. I needed to get about thirty Android tablets installed in our trucks. Ram mounts fit the bill. They're plenty rugged enough for a big rig cab environment. I've also used them in my shack at home.

You could mount a tv on one if you wanted with no problem I'm betting.

Yes you could. The mounts are stronger than the surface they were mounted to. The Android tablets were also in heavy duty cases similar to an Otterbox phone case so they were pretty heavy.
