3843 had a dispatcher in the clear the other day responding to a SP callsign. I am thinking Base Ops is one of the 3845 or 3846 talk groups and 3843 and 3844 are SP channels. Base ops was fully encrypted on the old system. Weekend is a good time to nail down SP channels since the system is a lot less busy with all of the aircraft ops channels and others.

Then again 3619 still pops up with some in the clear units doing traffic stops and dispatch encrypted. the 36 talk groups are Lackland I thought.

The bases will be quiet on Monday and Tuesday. I have also seen some encryption on tgs 3620 and 3842. Tg 3843 could be RAFB Base Ops. I am waiting to see.

Thanks

I have been listening to tg 3619 all afternoon. It sounds like Lackland SP 1. If tg 3619 is LAFB SP 1 what is on tg 3901?

Randolph will be having an active shooter exercise 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12-13. This will be a good time to look for new tgs.

Confirmed: Lackland AFB is site # 1 of the 3D6 P25 TRS

Thanks Don, I have just set my Home Patrol-1E scanner in Discovery Mode to record the site # 3 Randolph activity July 12-13th.
I am hoping to log and record the audio today and tomorrow that will perhaps better assist in indentifing both new and existing RAFB TG's.

Also, I confirmed and submitted to the RRDB that Lackland has migrated to this National 3D6 system even using their same Site # 1 ID .

1) Add new site # 1 with name: Lackland Air Force Base

2) Add new site # 1 frequencies below as they fill out with moderate traffic:

1 (1) 001 (1) Lackland AFB Bexar 406.3625c 407.3625 407.7625 407.9625 408.1500 408.5625 408.7625 408.9625 410.3625

So the above was a copy of my RRDB submission. So stay tuned as they say ;)
Also submitted to delete LAFB from old bc31 TRS and mark all those old LAFB TG's as Deprecated.
Thank You,
Michael-SATX

I work downtown on the 18th floor. I'm getting good reception from the Central site.
Scanning, logging, and recording but only Phase I as my scanner doesn't do Phase II.
So far just listening I've learned the following:

Tg 3920 Some sort of building maintenance. Base Public Works (DPW) or Hospital.

3784 Vehicle Maintenance maybe TMP.

3925 Possible Ft Sam Access Control Point (ACP) heard some chatter about gates and traffic movement at the gates.

3738 Currently being used for a MedWing training exercises.

4091 Transportation/Busses. Maybe between JBSA medical faculties

4071 Training? Talking about Gas Chamber time for tomorrow.

I'll search for a couple more days then try and make time to listen to recording over for more detail info.

3619 has been mostly in the clear with some random units being encrypted today
3844 the Randolph dispatcher is in the clear again. All units are encrypted.

Since all the radios have encryption keys it is hard for the radio users to know if they are transmitting encrypted or not.unless they are looking at the display screen. They must have selectable encryption on all the radios and people are hitting buttons or something. Seems almost daily the encryption changes.

I have been logging off and on all week to see what new tgs show up on the Randolph site. I will have to listen to 3619 again. I do listen to Randolph SP on tg 3844.

Thanks
Don
