I sold an XPR4550 to a guy there earlier this week that stated the county was selling them. Not quite sure where they would sell them at but I wouldn't mind buying up a few. The only info I got from him on the system was that it was a VHF Linked Cap+ system. And I understand RAS is standard with all new Mototrbo systems now.
Well, they will fit in with neighboring counties (Pulaski, Laurens, Twiggs, Wilkinson) that are on MotoTrbo now, and the local college.
Wonder what they did with all the NXDN equipment:?
Still encrypted?
It is most likely all EP/RC4. I have learned that it will show up BP if you are in a fringe area and don't have a nearly perfect signal. The DMR decode in DSD+ still needs some work IMHO but it is much better than most other software packages out there. Are you getting encryption on all talkgroups? It's confirmed they're still encrypted. DSD+ was picking up BP and RC4. Not sure how that is or maybe the signal wasn't clear enough to determine what it really is.

Is there something with NXDN that has a flaw? Possibly discontinuation on that setup?
Also they are going trunked so that allows them to add talkgroups on the fly and not have to add a whole new repeater whenever they decide to add channels. Two talkpaths per repeater is sure noteworthy
