Good day everyone...

I am having an issue that I'm sure is quite common with new feed providers.

I have my scanner running through my computer via the "Front Mic" port. This is the input for my live feed. (CA-Sutter County-Yuba City and Sutter County Fire Dispatches) Anytime I try to listen to my scanner through the speakers, it repeats through the RR feed as well. If I open my feed or any other feed, it also repeats in on my feed. And finally, if I browse any website with any type of sound, this audio also bleeds through and repeats on my feed. I have tried muting inputs but beyond that, I am clueless.

Anyone have any suggestions for a rookie?

Thanks in advance,

EH

Please see here: How to Maintain a Good Feed

Basically, any sound through your computer can & may be broadcast.

If you have the correct setting ability on your computer your may be able to prevent other audio from the broadcast.

See if you have some type of mixer control either at the computer or sound card software.

Look at your audio section & see where audio is being routed. You may be able to change where some audio goes.

Otherwise, you may not be able to do other sound on the feed computer.

This tends to happen when your record settings in windows is set to Stereo Mix or Hear what I hear rather then mic or line in.

I got your email Richard. I apologize for the mistake. I will be trying to rectify the problem, If I am unable to find a solution, I will simply disconnect my feed while I am on Skype, etc.

Thanks,

EH

I think I may have figured it out. I turned the "right" audio control function all the way down to zero in the Server Client tab. All of the outside audio used to show on the side of the system. The "left" only moves when there is audio coming from my scanner. Does this sound right to anyone?
