I picked them up from Cullman County on the Palmerdale site

yea i was just fixing to post palmerdale lol.
i read the board mins from this month said there towers would be set in may or so they say . just have to keep listening to see if he can hear the so . seems like fire might be patched from 158.835 to the airs site .

can someone verify
1. are they still using 158.835 trying to verify if its a vhf to 800 patch
2. if this is county wide aka all departments . at my location i can only hear when they tone out on "west side" if i am not mistaken they have 2 repater sites . smokerise and palisades .

158.835 is still in use, as our primary channel. I was told that my dept was getting our new radios in March. But that doesn’t mean the system will be working by then. We’ll just be ready for it when it is finally up and running.

ok thanks but on the airs is it all fire departs or just a certain departments. like i mention before the only traffic i get is when they tone out on the straight mt tower i think . i want to say its station 19 west blount is all i hear when its toned on that tower.

It’s supposed to be all departments. And if you’re listening to the current system, only for short periods of time, you may only hear station 19 and BC EMS, as 19 is one of the busier depts

thanks, i have yet to hear station 12 or 19 on 43012 . thats what made me think its only a selected few or just the palasides or smokerise site . the ony ones i been hearing on airs is blountsville so i am trying to track it down for future reff.

43012 is patched to Fire 1 vhf county wide (it’s running on a donor VHF radio hence the lower quality audio) but I’ve been hearing traffic off both east and west repeaters. And I’ve noticed 43012 on both p’dale and Warrior sites

I just heard traffic on both VHF and AIRS a few mins ago from Trussville.

Doesn't appear so now. I have been waiting on traffic tonight to verify. I'm at 1050' in Trussville, I may have heard a different site.

I'm not hearing anything on AIRS now and just listened to a bunch of traffic on VHF. Perhaps the donor radio took a dump.
