I was just wondering if anyone knew of any links where I might find a Boston ARTCC sector map. I have a decent idea from the names of the sectors where they are, but there are some I am unsure of and I was wondering if anyone had a map.

I have looked on the forum and found a few "dead links:"

Document Not Found | NBAA - National Business Aviation Association

I am looking for just a map with the borders, if they had frequencies in the map, that would be even cooler!

The label on the map should have clued you in. "High Altitude Sectors" - anything not on the map must be a Low Altitude Sector.

Do any of the regular Boston Listeners know if they still use 127.825 at all in Sector 46 ? This frequency appears to have been replaced by 126.225, just wondering if maybe 127.825 is used part time or as a spare somewhere now ? Also the ERICK low sector 132.300, do they ever use this frequency ? In the past I've heard it subbed for the high sector 124.525, but most of the time it appears 135.800 covers both the SARDI and ERICK low sectors.

I just want to keep the question in this thread alive a bit. I'm looking for a map of the Boston Center High and Low sectors, something that is newer than 7 years old. There must be something newer out there. Anybody have any suggestions? Is this info found anywhere at that NBAA site anymore (maybe with a subscription), or is that info totally gone? Thanks!

It wouldn't be uncommon for those maps to be accurate. Sectorization is such a tricky thing, the boundaries don't change much once their ingrained. In my career, the sector boundaries haven't changed much at all.

RE: Newer KZBW sector map

That makes sense. What I'm trying to draw out is a visual map that shows sectors and all the 'possible' Boston Center frequencies an aircraft could be sent to from sector to sector. My home base is KPWM. And for the most part, if I look at my window and point my binocs to the sky, and see an airline up there, they are typically always on 134.95. Then, from there, they transition to a number of possible alternates. Going south, they used to go to 135.475, but that freq is now obsolete I think. For the most part, they will now transition to 118.425. Going North, it's almost always 128.050. I have all the KZBW frequencies plugged into my scanner, but I want to get them in a more intuitive order. An order that more closely mirrors the frequencies most likely to be transitioned to. Trying to make the listening and tracking experience more dynamic!

Call the center. Ask for the training department and tell them what you're trying to do. Ask them if they would mail a map to you. Unless there is some sort of security reason, they should be able to send you a small legal-size map. Or you could get a high-altitude enroute or low-altitude chart. They both have center frequencies. The Boston high altitude chart is an H-12 and the low chart would be the L-33 or L-34. Have fun.

....the charts are available at most aviation stores at the airport FBO. Signature Aviation at Boston # is 617-561-2500 and at Bedford 781-274-0010. Ask for the pilot store or equivalent. Have fun.

I think some of the posted answers are based on a misunderstanding of what the OP wants.

He's not talking about aeronautical charts. He is looking for a diagram of ARTCC Sector boundaries and frequencies.

Agreed. I started down the chart path as a possible solution if the sector chart he had wasn't suitable. I contend that the 2007 sector map may be the most current. That, used in conjunction with a high or low aeronautical chart, could get him on the way to correlating what he sees and hears.
