Tango Echo 513 also tested - said he would probably be on "13" when on post

the traffic was not heard on 483.1875 483.2125 483.2375 483.3125 nor 460.25

Race comms overview

cities and towns along route handle police/fire/ems comms on local channels

mutual aid comms can be on bapern channels and fire district 13 and 14 channels and bama 453.10r and on interops TGs on the 2 or 3 state TRS

utac and vtac and itac and fed interops channels might also be in use for patching and special units

media might have special channels

race admins are on a business TRS iirc

hams might serve as backup comms

1135 am 453.10 R

"Boston EMS to Cataldo"

"Cataldo answering"

do you have an ambulance available for a call at East Boston Health Center?

we are already enroute

except it turns out it was 2 different calls and Cataldo Ambulance Service does not have a 2nd unit nearby

1144 am - 'Boston EMS to BAMA' - "seeking a bls unit for another call at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center" - (not sure if this is a 3rd call or not)

470.5625 R / BAP 4 seems to be patched to 460.35 R / BPD Ch 1

nobody is saying much but they are getting kerchunked randomly at the same time

1144 am - Jake Charlie 1 requested a service unit from 14 to 2017 Comm Ave (that is the Brighton section of Boston and the Marathon goes along Comm Ave there)

they have been patching these 2 channels for the Marathon for the last ?7? years - perhaps so they get a larger footprint than using just 460.35 R alone - 460.35 R might cover out to Rte 128 but 470.5625 R might cover out to Rte 495

no messages on these 2 channels from 1145 am to noon - very quiet

noon - echoey message from some dispatcher - "Radio 9921 emergency button - you all set?" - no reply - no followup

1202 pm - radio message from field unit was heard on 460.35 R before being heard on 470.5625 R - maybe a 1/10 second delay - is that due to my radios or their patch? - probably their patch - my 2 radio are identical and sitting next to each other
