Talked to my sister's friend's dad who's an officer on the CPD tonight. He said the county's making the switch sometime in August, and he said he's 99% sure it's going to be MotoTRBO. He did mention something about they were having a lot of issues with the system or something along those lines....Anyone have any clue as to what may be happening?

I think you mean Boyle, not Boyd County.

Interesting

Now thats interesting, because I have not seen anything about them accepting bids or anything for a new radio system. The only thing that I found was approved was for new radio console furniture for PSCC.

The system's been in the works for a while. When I had the run in with the law back in October, I talked with one of the deputies for the BCSO, and he said the Sheriff himself had a radio that he was working with dispatch. As for exactly what it is, or anything of that nature, I have no idea. The only other thing I know is that one of the local FD's (East Fork) is going to have their own private P25 radio network coming soon.
