BR330T & UASD Software

I just got a BR330T to play with. Having lotsa fun with it. Seems to be a great scanner... except... everytime I connect to the scanner using the serial cable and the Uniden Advanced Scanner Director (registered version), the display on the scanner reads "remote mode" and "keypad lock" followed by an continuous "loud static" noise until I hit the scan button on the front, then it begins the scan. The same thing happens after I download a change from the software once it is complete. Is there a setting that I can change to make the transition less dramatic and begin scanning without manual intervention?

My BCD396 does the same thing with UASD, but I just automaticly push the scan take it out of remote mode. I never thought it was a problem.
