Brantford Fire

Hullo.

I'm trying to make sense of Brantford Fire.
On their website they list the stations & the apparatus however the actual units numbers listed don't make sense.

For instance: Brantford Fire station 4 on Colborne st west. On the website they have Pumper/Rescue 4, an additional pumper and a Rescue Boat. I recorded and monitored fire calls but over the air all apparatus begins with a 9.

I.e. radio Id 55510 is BFS 933. Radio ID 55507 is BFS 917, Radio id 55506 is Unit 921.

Am I missing something here? Any help is appreciated, I can monitor this system from home easily enough.

I've got some RIDs scribbled down somewhere from my last trip thru there (I believe they do a radio check at 9 am? Somewhere around there).

They changed the numbering system a few months ago. I have not yet been able to make complete sense of them yet myself. The middle number of the sequence seems to be the station they are at. For example Unit 933 is at station 3, 921 is at station 2, etc. I cant figure out why they all start with nine. I have quite a few RID for the BFD if anyone is interested.
