Overland Park Domestic Dispute
This happened last night while I was at work, the times are approximate because I don't remember exactly.
<0:00> Wife calls 911 reports a dispute between her and her husband at their home in the 6900 block of Walmer, Dispatch sends 2 units (OP generally has single officer units on duty), wife remains on the line.
<0:15> Husband also calls 911, says that he as weapons in the house and he is planning to shoot any officers that respond to his residence.
<0:17> Dispatch adds 2 more units to the call and upgrades all units to Emergency Response
<0:25> First unit arrives on scene, observes the male subject exit the residence and enter the garage, no weapons visible. Unit asks for status and eta on backup, backing units are at 99th and Metcalf running lights and sirens.
<0:26> Patrol commander adds himself to the call and responds from Sanders station
<0:30> Unit on scene hits his emergency button and reports that he is involved in a physical fight with the male subject in the front yard of the residence
<0:31> Dispatch advises 10-13 (officer in trouble), all available units respond to the residence.
<0:32> Second, Third and Fourth units advise they are on scene, subject is subdued and in custody
<0:35> Patrol commander arrives on scene and takes incident command, he orders EMS for the male subject
<0:36> Unit involved in the fight advises that he is ok and doesn't need EMS
<0:37> Patrol commander advises all other units can downgrade
<0:38> Dispatch asks units on scene if they need additional units
<0:39> Units on scene advise no additional units are needed and that all units not on scene can disregard
<0:40> Dispatch puts all units not on scene back in service
