I'm having a problem with my bct-15. It doesn't matter what freq it is on it seams to cut out briefly about every 3 sec or so. It cuts out just long enough to miss one word. I know the area and radio jargon enough to piece it together but it is driving my crazy. Any help would be nice.

Make sure that the following functions are OFF
1. Close Call
2. Priority
3. Weather Alert

what they said or might be your batteries are weak.

The BCT15 does not use batteries...

This problem is usually because of priority, close call, weather, or bearcat. If you are sure it is turned off, check your antenna connection. Could anything near your antenna be creating intereference? I know when i have my t.v. on it will create a whole lot of extra static on my scanner. Check your squelch too.

Yeah, leave it off unless you're in bear country and need to keep track of them.

"Could a moderator please move this to the Uniden board?"

Why when the problem's fixed and the thread ended? Well, maybe not moved but when the tech sharks go into another feeding frenzy maybe they'll sensibly lock it.
