Using my BCD436HP in Georgetown I have MARCS sites for Brown/Clairmont/Adams and the analog channels for FD/PD. Most of what I hear is MARCS not much on the older analog freqs. The paging is working with tones very clear. I am also catching the airport traffic from approaching small airplanes. I’d say in my opinion the BCD436HP does better than my PSR-500 in this area. Last trip was 2 years ago. Just making a local observation. Out here deer hunting for a few.

Yep. MARCS has most all the Emer Services traffic. Brown still using VHF for fire tones (on MARCS as well). Schools are still on older analog/DMR freqs. Enjoy southern Ohio!

Today I noted that Brown County (OH) Fire Dispatch is using 151.2800 for full simulcast for MARCS TG 8501. In the past, this VHF frequency would rebroadcast the BRCO Fire Dispatcher, but now all radio traffic is being rebroadcasted. I don't know if this is temporary or not.
