I am looking to buy new ICOM from Alibaba. I am aware of risk of knockoffs and no warranty. But a few quotes I received from Alibaba appear legit for Icom IC-2300H.
The pics sent are indeed ICOM and logos are valid on radio and English manual. But the quotes do not include shipping. So how do I pay shipping? Do I wait for shipper to knock on door wanting payment before delivery or does Alibaba bill me once radio leaves the dock in China? Or is buying from Alibaba just not worth the risk? Ebay will not work nor AliExpress. Thanks

The reason I ask here is that shipping costs are not clear on Alibaba site nor how to pay. I am thinking maybe somebody here has bought from Alibaba and could clarify. There are translation issues.

I made a purchase from Alibaba a few years ago. It was for a replacement antenna for an older Yaesu handheld. Found a listing on Alibaba that looked like a reasonable facsimile of the original antenna. So, I placed the order. My card was charged for the price of the item plus what I thought was reasonable shipping fees. In about 2 weeks, the item showed up in a package that had a Chinese return address. And, that was the end of that transaction.

I think that Alibaba does enough business with U.S. customers that they have the whole money exchange, credit card processing, international shipping, and customs clearance process worked out.

Was the antenna a legitimate Yaesu antenna? I don't know. It seemed to fit and perform as well as the antenna that came in the Yaesu box.
