Major traffic problems on C470, the highway is closed, stopped traffic is driving in reverse to exit on the on and off ramps. Requesting more DCSO and CSP code 3 to shut down traaffic at Lucent to prevent more MVA's. One additonal accident as already occured. Medic 11 now blocking the on ramp from cars backing up the worng way onto Lucent.

Double Fatal

LITTLETON – Police say at least two people are dead after a two-vehicle rollover crash on C-470 Sunday morning.

Littleton Police say a Jeep Grand Cherokee, with two people inside, side-swiped a white Chevy van, causing the van to roll numerous times. Police say the van had six people in it at the time, two of whom have been confirmed dead.

The conditions of the four other people inside the van were not immediately known.

Police say the crash occurred on westbound C-470 near Santa Fe around 10:30 a.m.

The two people inside the Jeep were transported to a hospital. Police say one of the two had a medical condition, but did not say whether the condition contributed to the crash.

Police continue to investigate.

9NEWS has a crew on scene and will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

And West Metro declares a MCI for everything greater than 4 pts to practice the triage system, setting up hospitals etc etc.

Eric's completely right when he says everyone does it differently.

Go Pats!!

Colorado Highway 470 closed near Santa Fe after two people died in a rollover accident Sunday.

Police said the driver of a Jeep lost control and started weaving along the road.

A mini-van in a near-by lane tried to avoid the Jeep, lost control and rolled three times.

Six people were inside the rolled van -- two adults died and four other people were injured, police said.

One of the injured was a six-month-old child.

All four were taken to area hospitals. The child and another adult were described as "extremely critical."

Witnesses said the six were missionaries from Colorado Springs headed to a front range church.

The driver of a Jeep had a medical condition during the accident. His wife was also in the Jeep and suffered minor injuries.

The highway is expected to be closed until at least 4 p.m.
