Does anyone know of a free program that you could download, that is kinda like computer aided dispatch? Like you could enter nature of call, units, address, zone, ect, and then it would display them in a list or even on a map? i think this would be cool to track scanner calls on..

You can prolly whip up something in Excel. Or if you get real creative something in Access.

Data Entry would be easier in Access...
I tihnk it would be easier to use excel, since you wont have to use forms and stuffs.

If you enter all that info. into a document, then you will have a list.

There used to be a shareware program in AOL downloads... How much time are you sitting down with that scanner that you need to track and log calls? If you really want to log or keep an organized chart of calls create something in Excell, Why would you need anything other than a simple log??

I'm actually working on writing a basic web based CAD program using PHP and MySQL. You can setup different units/apparatus and assign them to districts. When you enter an address, it will bring up the available units in it's district first. The addresses are even linked to the Google Maps API so you get a map next to the address. I've been working on it for about 6 months now and it seems to be mostly functional, although still in the beta stage. I've attached some screen shots for you to look at. When I feel it is ready for other to play with, I will remember to post something here.
