Anyone know a callsign evil135, we have been having osprey vtol flying here in county for two weeks, this callsign shows up on flighttracker when it is our area. It shows about 2400 ft speed 234. But I am so close to local airport that when it takes off it is only about 100 feet above my tower. This is in southern Indiana.

I’ve also noticed evil135 with a helicopter icon near Seymour and Crane. I noticed evil135 was westbound through central Illinois this morning. I‘ve previously seen V-22 Osprey on ADS-B tracker where an V-22 Osprey icon is displayed. It is curious a helicopter icon is used with evil135. I thought evil135 might be involved with testing equipment associated with Crane Naval Surface Weapons center.

I saw online where Qatar has purchased F-15 two seat Eagles and are being manufactured at Boeing in St. Louis. I live in the Red Hill training area and have recently been seeing and hearing F-15’s. I haven’t heard call sign but have heard plane to plane transmissions. The voices of some pilots accents sound like they could be from the middle east (Qatar). ADS-B exchange rarely shows these aircraft in my area. I have seen military jet icon (similar profile to F-16) with nation Qatar and a call sign but no serial number. I’ve seen these Qatar jets flying southwest of St Louis in the Mark Twain national forest area.

I’ve heard radio traffic at the same time I hear the jets saying they are en rout to Springfield. I frequently am in Springfield and F-15’s are commonly seen doing multiple landing take off cycles from Capitol Airport.

I heard the plane to plane conversations on 252.2250. The conversation involved flight instructions regarding heading and altitude. I heard fights on a couple of times and Fox 2. Generally sounded like training flights and testing equipment.

The Red Hills MOA encompasses southeastern Illinois and southwest Indiana. Prior to the loss of the Illinois Air National Guard F-16’s from Springfield and Indiana ANG from Terre Haute there was a lot of arial training in the Red Hills MOA. The F-15’s from the Missouri ANG were frequently flying in this area. I even saw simulated air combat with F-18’s once. It was not uncommon to see jets pop flares and many times training was at night.

This map illustrates the area I’m referring.

The callsign is EvilI35 (Evileyes-35). They are MV-22s from VMM-163.

The flight tracker doesn't yet have the full identification of those aircraft. The BuNo is needed. If you're local do everyone a favor and get a close look or photos to get the BuNos to associate with the transponder hex code.

Because of the flight profile (slow, low, rate of climb, etc) the tracker recognizes it as a helicopter and thus uses a helicopter icon when displaying. High and fast it will show the default airplane icon.

As said above, EVIL EYE 43/44 were MV-22s participating in JADED THUNDER 21-2. Most aircraft operated out of Terre Haute, with a few flying from Himsel AAF. Operations were over Muscatatuck, Camp Atterbury, and some roving ops south of Columbus.

I have a log of everything, still sorting through a lot of recordings but I’ll post it when I finish reviewing.

The F-15s (QATAR and DOHA) were not part of the exercise but have been frequent users of Red Hills MOA lately.

The Qatar Pilot were on 252.2250 talking to another pilot with an American accent. I’ve heard a couple of transmission stating they were en-route Springfield which I assume is capital airport with the frequency I’ve seen F-15’s around Springfield.

I’ve also heard plane to plane conversations on 246.9000. These pilots had American accents and one mentioned he was ready to return to a base because it was his fourth mission of the day. I didn’t see these jets but I think they were also F-15’s.

I’m not familiar with the acronym DOHA.
