Fire first reported at 11:23pm last night in a warehouse on Washington St, Cambridge. A little after midnight, on-scene command was reporting it had grown to a 6-alarm blaze, and was requesting ladder/tower trucks from as far afield as Queen Anne, Kent Island and Seaford DE.
Due to the size of the fire, the most effort was focussed on protecting the exposures of surrounding structures, rather than trying to save the warehouse itself.
Units were beginning to be released by about 1:30am.
Not much in the local news yet.
