We get the idea so please relax with the screen shots.

You are picking up interference of some kind. Could be anything. Do you live in a house or an apartment? What is the gain set at? What are you using for an antenna?

It seems maybe some things changed since earlier. Not sure what's going on. I took a screenshot everywhere the anomaly was occurring. Sorry for all the screensh4WPgInXIeq.jpgots. lol

I'm really sorry for all the screenshots. I'm in a house. Not sure where interference is coming from. It happens in other room also. I'm using rtl-sdr Q branch sampling. The gain cannot be set ? Using a long wire outside for antenna. Thanks. Mods can delete this thread at anytime. I don't know how.

Dude ! Relax with the screen shots. Half of them do not seem to reflect any problems and this one looks perfectly normal.

What antenna are you using and what is the gain set at on 105.900? Thats how it looks. This in my radio station with rf gain at 0

I'm using an rtl-sdr. It worked fine for week or so but now I get these weird signals or interference/noise. It happens even without the antenna connected. I tried using different ports and unplugging most everything in the house but no help. Signals persist throughout the spectrum. View attachment 132544
That is the 2nd harmonic of the reference frequency ( 2 x 28.8 MHz).

That one place...
I guess I will be the oddball.
I think it is informative with the screenshots.

They have an issue and are asking for our help.

How can the forum help, if we do not understand.

And what better way to understand, since we are not there.
Is........... Screenshots.

That is what a public forum is for, correct?

Dude ! Relax with the screen shots

I'll take a stab in the dark and say RFI from (a) nearby electronic device(s), though the last one the OP provided is clearly an FM radio station...

Nothing wrong with screenshots at all. The op was not giving anyone time to even respond.
1st screenshot 4 42 am
2nd screenshot 4 52 am
3rd screenshot 5 02 am

While there are many people are up at 5 am, there are also many sleeping at that time.

24 posts in 3 hours, 19 with screenshots.

You are going to pick up all sorts of garbage with a long wire antenna in direct sampling mode. That's just a fact. The screen grab of the FM station seems to indicate that that the tuner is working. Like others have said, turn down your gain and take another screenshot of the FM station. Or better yet, take some screenshots of the narrowband FM weather stations ( 162.400 MHz, 162.425 MHz, 162.450 MHz, 162.475 MHz, 162.500 MHz, 162.525 MHz, and 162.550 MHz). You should be able to get all of them in a single waterfall. Play with the gain and take several screenshots and report back what the gain is set to for each screenshot.
