I am having an issue with the radios communicating with the net book PC. Just like any other computer it
worked before when I first got the computer. When I connect the cable and activate Win 95, the radio say
"CLONE MODE" UP to send, remove cable to exit. And when I try to upload data from the scanner it saids
Timed out waiting for the header. Does this mean my cable is damaged? Why is it damaged? What should I do with the cable? I have not used it in a long time. I have had it in a storage bag and while traveling. I have contacted GRE about cable : P/N 100-010 and the thing was custom manufactured in
China.

SOLVED : Use the Device Manager! I Set To Port 17!

I have found the solution to my problem, it's already been solved. I will remember to check my device manager if all else fails. It's great to have a netbook with a scanner. My serial port is 17 not 3. Port 4
was would I used to use on my desktop. Since the netbook is different so is the serial port.

Netbooks such as Dell Inspiron : Port 17
Desktops : Port 3 or 4
