Carova (Currituck County) Fire?

Looks like we will be heading to Carova in the fall, just wondering if Carova Fire / Rescue is dispatched on Currituck Fire (155.055) or on the 154.145 that is listed for their department.

the one listed for the dept. is probably that dept's private channel, there should be a countywide dispatch freq. for all of that county's depts.

I would imagine its the 155.055 that is listed in the database. The PL listed is 107.2 As it was stated before, most of the time if there is a channel listed with the agencys name, its most likely a private channel. Hope this helps.

When we go to the OBX we normally stay at Buxton but this year decided to try Carova, and I was going to crystal up a Minitor pager so I could monitor the local fire department (Carova).

You'll have fun driving on the beach. Be sure to bring an air compressor so you can lower and raise your tire pressures as needed. We were up there last year and most everything was on 155.055

Over the 4th of July the 154.145 freq sounded like ocean rescue, lots of talk about swimmers and water conditions, Kinda like the 154.355 freq used in Corolla
