If you take a look at sites like spaceweather.com, you will see why 10m has been jumping lately....Mike

10M FM

I am an avid 10M and 6M FM DX'er. I use a Motorola Syntor X9000 (in my vehicle) and use an antenna switch depending on which band I am on. 6M antenna is a Larsen NMO-50 and 10M antenna is a Motorola 30-36 spectrum with 55" whip and set to exactly 29.450 MHz. I live in North Carolina and this past summer worked Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and Japan all mobile. I keep my radio on scan whenever driving.

I will plug in 29.450. My whip that I am using is 52" long. I scan my 10M Ham Radio zone everyday now.
