For those listeners of CenCom, I have found a UHF Link is on 465.8125.

The link appears to be cross banded to 155.355 and perhaps another freq and is
bi-directional.

My guess is that it is located at Overlook although I can't be sure.

No FCC license was found but that does not surprise me knowing
the stuff that has popped up over the years.

The UHF links listed in RR aren't really cross band links for field units. CenCom uses UHF to connect towers. When a dispatcher keys up say the Rahway tower it goes over a UHF freq from Overlook to Rahway where it is rebroadcast on the VHF freq. There is another UHF freq that the Rahway tower sends anything it picks up on the VHF freq back to Overlook. Basically the UHF replaces the copper that was used. There are 2 uhf freqs per tower on 355 and 265 (besides Overlook).

So if you listen to the UHF freq that the Rahway tower transmits on, you will hear everything from VHF including the other towers with the exception of CenCom talking on the Rahway tower because that radio is transmitting.

Hope that makes sense.

The Cencom 2 link, I believe 465.8, repeats both sides of the conversation. You can usually hear both Cencom and the field units on the same channel.

i have been wondering. when cen com transmits, you hear them, however you only hear when the acknoledge the unit (ie medic 10). Do they transmit from the unit to cencom on a different frequency?

Cencom and Mobiles transmit on the same frequency 155.355 simplex
You can hear both base and mobile on a the link just like a repeater
only cencom receive the links, the link comes from is a remote relay site

If you are close to a unit that is transmitting you can hear it. I think you have to catch the signal before it hits the UHF repeater they were talking about ^.
