For the past 3 hours, I've been completely unable to monitor the CHatt-Comm TRS or any agency that operates on the Fulton County TRS. Won't even lock on to the control channel. Anyone know what's happening. Wasn't range because I was sitting at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Failsoft mode, I guess. If you hold on a voice frequency, you can hear traffic -- 854.5625 is pretty active. I noticed a similar occurence a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, Brad. I was in my car much of the afternoon and couldn't safely experiment with the channels, other frequencies, etc. I just noticed that every agency on the Fulton Co TRS was inoperable. But then about 7:00pm when I went thru Sandy Springs, it all was back up and apparently working fine. If anyone hears any other details, by all means, post it.

I wish we had been able to determine the fail-soft frequencies. As many agencies as use that system, I'm surprised that the system even has enough freqs for everyone to have a fail-soft channel. Grady may have used a Med channel or Rural Metro might have used their own corporate channels. Anyone know?

I would gladly share it with you if I knew it. Sorry! I try to find out. It may take a while!

I believe the new frequencies for the the TRS are 854.1375 MHz and 857.8625 MHz. I do not know which is running the control channel, if somebody can check that would be great.

See attached document.

More on Fulton TRS

I was wondering about this also and did some searching in conventional mode and found that 857.8625 seems to do the trick. I am hearing activity on 854.887, 854.137, and 857.012 which appear to be new frequencies on the system.
