When I program the frequencies in my scanner for the Viper tower in Cherryville I get no reception, no hits on the control channel. I assume this tower also is a site for Gaston/ Mecklenburg system as they list a Cherryville site but have no problems with those frequencies after I reband my scanner. However, the frequencies for Viper are dead silent. I live about 15 miles away from Cherryville towards Shelby but can’t get anything when I’m in Cherryville. Does anyone know why this is?

What frequency are you using? I know they've changed it once before, they might have done it again for coordination purposes. Trunk88 shows the site is using 868.3750, double check and make sure that's what you've plugged in.

I have updated the info for the Cherryville site.
Looks like that site was updated at some point and the
database entry was never updated.
Try what is in listed in the database now and let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

The database for Gaston County is not all that accurate and database for it needs to be updated for not just VIPER but the Gaston 800 and VHF/UHF as well.

Well the VIPER database listing for Gaston County is correct.

If there are other errors in the database for Gaston County then
it would help if the correct information was submitted so we can
get that info corrected ASAP. :)
Thanks and Happy Monitoring!

Some of that stuff is completely wrong (non VIPER). The only VIPER thing I can see is maybe a mislabel of a TG ID.

I have submitted the info twice before and it didnt seem to find its way to the database. I even provided a link to the county's website that list the frequencies and proper identification tags, from the horses mouth. None of the Gastonia 800 stuff is up either. If you would like I can send them to you for you to put it up. I feel the info should be out there for everyone to use but I am not wasting my time again going through the proper channels.
