Considering Montco is kicking around a figure of $50 million for their next upgrade, I'll say it ain't gonna be cheap.

A new radio system really seems like it could be a project that the SE regional task force could coordinate and fund. WIth Bucks, Chester, Montco and Philly all looking in to radio system upgrades, the regional coordination and purchase of a common platform could be financially beneficial I would think.

that would make to much sense. everybody will go total opposite of each other and all the fire trucks and police cars will still have 6 different radios in it.

I printed this out and reviewed it the other day...pretty interesting reading. For those on here who have also looked it over I'm wondering what some thoughts on this is so far? I'm bad with the technical level stuff but for the stuff in plain english that I saw I liked, like their desire to have patches to interop with other systems and chesters desire to maintain their 800 repeaters with the new system...very nice if what they are fishing for in the future is still something not scanner friendly.
