By CCDES March 1, 2011 Chester County Department of Emergency Services is proud to place in service, Comm-1. Comm-1 is a 2010 Freightliner MT-55 communications vehicle with a 36.5 foot body. The vehicle features an expanded dispatch area with work stations for five Telecommunicators as well as a command staff area.

Montgomery County also has a new field comm unit in service. It's being stored at Worcester Fire Co right now...it's huge...something like 46 feet long. I don't have the specs handy at the moment. I'm sure I'll be getting a look at it in the next few months...they'lll be doing road shows around the county to show it off.
